Training & Qualifications
To obtain a Private Pilot’s License (PPL) you need to be 17 old, although training can start earlier.
Training is tailored to suit you and can be completed either full or part time. Ideally at least 3 sessions per week allows you to maintain continuity.
Pilots obtain further qualifications covering night and commercial flights, with a conversion course required to fly additional helicopter types.
Gear
Models vary greatly from 2-seat piston engine helicopters to 5-seat gas turbine engine helicopters. The cost of training, hire and ownership varies accordingly.
