Segway Driving
Segway’s are eco-friendly, upright, two wheel, self-balancing vehicles which simply use weight distribution for speed and direction. Segway riding is designed to mirror the process of human walking; if the rider leans forward, thus offsetting the balance, the Segway moves forward to regain balance.
A control shaft is used to steer and it operates in the direction you use your bodyweight. Segways are driven by electric motors at up to 13 miles per hour and are easy to get the hang of. They are great both on and off road, for exploration at a leisurely pace.
Interesting fact – The owner and inventor of the Segway company died after reversing one of his two-wheeled vehicles off a cliff-top footpath as he tried to make way for a dog walker!
