Hovercraft Racing
Hovercraft racing puts you at the controls of a unique vehicle capable of travelling over land or water, supported by a cushion of slow moving, high-pressure air.
The single or twin seat hovercraft are controlled by a throttle and rudder, with no brakes. Participants wear a buoyancy aid, helmet and racing suit and race in point scoring heats.
Riding a hovercraft is similar to driving on ice at speeds of up to 30-40mph with shifting body weight an important factor in steering.
