Horse Riding

Horse Riding

Horse trekking is a great way to enjoy the countryside by horse, with no experience necessary.

The speed of the ride depends on the ability of the group, and can be as exciting or relaxing as required. Horse riding is fully supervised with instructors ensuring that all riders are happy and in control of their horse.

This is a great activity for all ages and abilities, offering adventure and the chance to bond with a horse, as well as your family and freinds.

Pros

  • Fantastic way to travel
  • The horse takes the strain
  • Bond with your animal

Cons

  • Not for everyone
  • Horses need feeding and cleaning

Training & Qualifications

Horse riding in the UK is overseen by the British Horse Society (BHS), with accredited centres offering courses to develop riding skills and industry-recognised qualifications.

Gear

All equipment (and your horse) is supplied by the training or activity centre. For most, purchasing a horse is not a feasible option.
